Three months advertising space donated by me!!!

Hi guys,

Since everybody is donating money to the advertising campaign, DanC is organising, I would like to do something similar.

As some of you know I'm making a TA-newsletter right now. Initially I thought of using an internet-service, but I decided to buy some mailinglist software and do all myself. I'm in the process of working out the software (and it's going the right way ;-} ).

My reasons for doing it myself, are:
  1. The webservice I was using isn't reachable for some days now. If they can't garantee the continuity of their service, we have to do it ourselves.
  1. We have total control over the mailinglist and what happens to the emailaddresses.
  1. It's easier to adjust controls on a local machine than on a webservice server.

With the purchase of the software, there was an offer of three months advertising by rotating banner on their website. It might be nothing, but since I don't have any use for the space, I donate it to the TA-cause. Only thing is, we must have an URL to point the advertisment to.

So, it's getting boring, but: When is the Team Anandtech website up and running? 😀😀😀😀

I've asked for the conditions & terms and awaiting.
When I know more, I'll let you know.

Update:
The first newsletter is sent to the group of proof-readers. I will do this for 2 to 3 times. Then I guess it's time to get everyone subscribed that wants to.

Not to mention that you've been instrumental to TA in deciphering those Dutch squiggles in the DPC forums for us. hehe
 
hey thanks man , i would help out some more but i'm a broke college man... Although i will be making a web page which i will put up banners for ta but it wont be much traffic . I think that everyone on the team that has web page should devote a little bit of ad space for the banner.
 
Well, although my web pages are still in need of serious organisation I do already have a logo and scrolling dnet banner in place here :- http://www.hatstand.org.uk/dnet.htm.

All of the logo's I have had come from other sources, either from Team Anandtech or DNet. Feel free to grab anything you like. 🙂

It's the least I can do (besides making a periodical newsletter, buying the mailing software and setting up an affiliate website connected to TA-activities 😛). Gosh, I have a lot to do.

I'm glad I can be TA's own translator 😛. Don't have time to keep an eye on the tweakers website all day, but once every two or three days must be possible. Also, if I see any TA-member ask a question regarding a DPC-thread, I'll try to react to that.
Afterall, I'm not the Head of Galactic Intelligence within Federation ranks for nothing. 😛

I only ask to look at the letter very carefully and give me some feedback.

If you think you can help in filling the letter with content, please let me know. It doesn't have to be much, everything helps. Right now, I'm doing most of it alone and takes a lot of my time.
In a short time, I'll put up a wanted-list of topics.
