Three Goodies from CFS Enjoy
<<LockJar v1.0 -- Win9x/ME (5 doves)
LockJar is a tool which gives total control over Internet browser cookies (obtained through IE) so you decide which cookies you want to keep.
Displaying a list of your known "Spy" cookies, "Suspect" cookies, and "Edible" cookies (known to be safe) you can quickly delete which ones you don't want in your computer.
The utility only works on cookies obtained through Internet Explorer and you have to specify which folder
your cookies are in. In most cases that is C:\WINDOWS\Cookies but you have to know because the program needs that information when it first loads. We received some error messages when we ran LockJar (in a Windows ME computer and also in a Windows 98SE computer) but it still seems to work OK so we aren't sure about those error messages. If you are worried about Internet security then grab a copy of this handy tool. Access this 2.40MB download from:

Easy Explorer v2.0 -- Win9x/ME (5 doves)
Easy Explorer is a Windows Explorer replacement which offers many enhancements.
It features: display of up to 4 folder windows (Explorer has 1);
uses existing Explorer shell;
change colors/fonts/image sizes/etc; built in Task Bar;
quick access to DOS command line;
select files using filters; and more. Unlike most of the other good Explorer replacements, Easy Explorer is not advertiser-supported which is a major plus. It takes the familiar Explorer and enhances it almost beyond comprehension with little features which, on their own, are very minor but, taken as a whole, are tremendous. However, it has one major failing for anyone using a LAN -- you cannot access the network from within this file manager. There isn't even a facility to map your network drives. Of course, if you run a stand-alone computer that won't be a problem. The only other area which we found disappointing is
the display of file sizes over 1MB -- only one decimal place is used (Windows reports two).
We cannot understand why one decimal place was chosen... However, the only serious omission from this program was the lack of LAN support and, if you don't have a network, it doesn't matter. Check out
Easy Explorer -- potentially the best file manager since XTree Gold was king of the DOS desktop! Access this 903kB download from:

Font Xplorer Lite v1.2.2 -- Win9x/ME (5 doves)
Font Xplorer Lite is a font viewer program which can unload, uninstall, copy, move & delete fonts.
It features: printable character map of selected font; save bitmap sample of selected font; view comprehensive information about selected font (full name, copyright, embedding info, available character
sets, installation status, etc); advanced, re-sizeable character map that displays all a font's scripts (view
characters present in Cyrillic and other scripts, if available);
filter fonts by character set;
the Repair Wizard will solve most common problems with fonts; etc. This is a terrific font manager & viewer which gives you lots of control over your fonts.
Most commercial programs add more fonts than you could ever use and the more fonts loaded on your
computer the slower Windows will run. Using Font Xplorer Lite you can examine each font and decide if you want to keep it, remove it, or uninstall it. You can print out all sorts of character maps and it will
even give you a sample of a font in BMP format. Snazzy! The only criticism which we had about Font Xplorer Lite is that you cannot select multiple fonts for deletion or to uninstall -- they can only be
done one font at a time.
Of course, that makes it harder to accidentally delete a font but it also makes the process of removing many fonts a slow job.
Font Xplorer Lite is one of those utilities which you will wonder how you lived without. Try it yourself and see if you aren't impressed too.
