I think that it's a regional deal. I have a copy of the fryer which I picked up in a store.

Interesting...I'm checking the in store specials on the website and I'm not seeing it there. Oh well OD is only 2 minutes away from me (Fountain Valley, OC) so I'll swing by and check it out.

Thanks for the heads up!

Any idea as to who the manufacturer is as well as the certified speed?

MD.

Edit: Possibly HOT as these are DatalifePlus according to the OD item number.....some DataLifePlus disks are made by TaiyoYuden. Can anybody confirm/deny this?

There's a list of possibilites at dvdrhelp.com in dvdmedia section. As long as it is not 2-2.4x seems to be a good manu.

Just got back from OD in Fountain Valley, CA OC. Nothing there and nothing in the flyer about this deal. Anyone found a OD where this deal is available?

Anyone found a store that has a bunch in stock? I've called pretty much every one in the OC and they are all OOS.

lol, just because we seem to both be going back and forth between this thread and the Staples add thread.

Also, it's a quote from National Lampoon's Van Wilder, which is an awesome movie btw.

Got some at the OD in Whittier. I think there were still a few left (though they were hidden and mixed up w/ the 25 packs).

EDIT: I'm referring to the +R's, I'm almost positive there were -R's still there when I left (about 2:30).

EDIT2: I opened one and it's MCC 002. DVDInfo says it will burn at 8x... According to DVDRHelp if you buy the +R you'll end up w/ Ricoh, MCC, or TaioYuden.

East of Pico Rivera, Downey, Montebello... on the border of Orange County. 605/5 interchange almost (but not quite).
