Speaking of threads disappearing. The mods just up and deleted the thread about pictures in sigs. What was the point of that? Now poeple wondering about it will just start a new thread. 😕

Don't the Mods lock threads anymore?

More than likely they deleted it because they don't want people figuring out how to do something they shouldn't be doing. People shouldn't have pictures in their sigs, and I hope they figure out how delete all of them.

More than likely they deleted it because they don't want people figuring out how to do something they shouldn't be doing. People shouldn't have pictures in their sigs, and I hope they figure out how delete all of them.

For some strange reason they converted smilies to using the

. I'm sure Jason had a good reason for it, but that is how the exploit got opened up. They can't just go through deleting any sig with an tag because that would kill a lot of legitimate sigs that just have smilies.

I only know of a few sigs that still have images bacause they are small and not noticable.

The mods really need to sticky PSA's in each forum if they want people to not use sig pics.

I had a small one in mine until someone PM'd me and pointed me to the FI thread. Which is now deleted. 😕

I guess there's no point in griping. After all, who says mods need to make sense?

I thought that the mods said (in the now deleted thread) that gifs in signatures were a bannable offense. Am I misremembering? If they have trouble with deleting all but the Anandtech emoticons, maybe they'll have to say no gifs except for the listed emoticons or something along that line. Did they delete the thread because they are conferring about all this?
