Thread that stays on Top of DC forum? like the happy holidays thread, to act as an FAQ/Welcome type thing?

I noticed those happy holiday threads stayed on top, that was cool, if the functionality is there too keep a thread on top of a forum, can we have someone, (mod, admin, whoever) slap one up with our basic team FAQ, like links to all the tutorials, basic info, gamebox URL's, tips, etc?

I think this would be really helpful to the guys who come here for the first time to see, and others who need a quick reference

I'll try to beat the mods into it, but it took forever just to get the feature put in FuseTalk.:|

someone needs to e-mail the mods. AFAIK the threads only last on top for 3 days. We would still need to bump it, or get it reposted every so often.

Instead of a contiuously bumped thead, it might be possible to put a nice banner in that gapping hole at the upper right corner of the DC forum page. It could say something like 'Welcome to the TEAM-Click for FAQ".

ya a banner or a link would be so easy to implement it would take like three lines of code in Cold Fusion, hell i could write it, if someone besides me will talk Zuni into pasting it into the categories.cfm file

<cfif catid EQ 39>
<a href=&quot;http://www.teamanandtech.com/welcome.html&quot;>New? Click Here!</a>
</cfif>

Im not sure the variables names or the URL to send to, but you get the idea.

I don't know if we ever solved the question of where we should link the banner ad, but a thread like this, with links to the TA page, etc. wouldn't be a bad idea. Would also get more traffic to the forums which is good for Anand, et al.
