thread sorting options?

I know the old AT Forum system had a feature where I could change the sorting of the posts, so that instead of ordering the posts according to the most recent post/reply I could order the posts according to the most recent new post.

That was very nice that way, as I wouldn't read over the subjects of multiple topics that I had read the subjects of a few hours before (or the day before).

In other words, how do I order the hot deals forum (or all the forums) by the first post of the topic rather than the most recent post of the topic?

For some reason I just can't find where to change this, and I am wondering if it is still an option.

that feature disappeared... cause AT 'upgraded' their software ... go figure!

yea that sucks, at least one of the threads allisolm pointed me to had a "workaround" for the problem.

thank you guys for the quick responses!

OK, you guys, I decided to write to the makers of Fuse Talk (forum software) to get them to fix this ridiculousness.

You can send a bug report or product recommendation to fusetalk, too, here

Here is what I wrote:

There does not seem to exist a "sort by newest topic" feature. Most forum programs (even free programs) have it. It's ludicrous not to have that feature. It defies all reason. It's both inconceivable and incomprehensible, and not only that, it is absurd. I'm stupified as well as mortified. I hope you will straighten it out. I think it should be implemented ASAP. The founding fathers of computer programming are surely rolling over in their graves. I'll pray for your souls. Thanks for your time, and have a good day.
