Thread locked

I don't understand why this thread was locked.
No swearing or neffing was present so why WAS it locked?😕
The thread was about a file format but again this was posted in the OFF topic forum.
Another irony is while this thread was locked in the offtopic, the thread belonging in P&N was not locked/moved

Set your popup blocker to allow popups from forums.anandtech.com (trust me, I've done it, you won't get any popup ads from here).
