Any book reader which does both pdb and chm files?
Just got an unlocked atrix and complete new guy on android.
I was long time user of symbian.

Do advise.

have you tried using Calibre (desktop app) to convert the files to .epub or something? That's what I do and then I read them with Aldiko. A quick Google indicates that pdb and chm sometimes give Calibre problems.

Looks like Reckless Racing HD, which was alright, but I'm not a huge fan of the controls in a top-down racer :\.

I'm really not a fan of that game. My largest gripe is the fact that you rarely win by skill but by luck. I can almost always win by using 4 letter words. You get 8 strikes, but they're nearly impossible to get unless you are lucky enough to get a consonant.

For example, one time a person played "JOKE" and I had "_O_E" with 5 strikes left. I tried to play valid letters that I knew were in multiple words, but it doesn't help when you're essentially left guessing. Even if I guessed 'K', I would have had to choose between other possibilities such as POKE.

There's also the opposite problem of very large words. If you get an eight letter word, you only get 4 strikes... it's really not that hard to fail an eight letter word in the game :p.

To sum it up, my problem with the game and why I no longer play is that I don't like the fact that you tend to guess more than anything, which means for the most part... there's very little skill involved. I hate winning mostly by luck :|. It's a shallow victory!

did you never play hangman as a kid in school? it's the same "luck" involved in that. so yea if you didn't like hangman you won't like hanging with friends heh.

There are chm readers for iOS and there are some for Android. I'm too lazy to look through and check to see which is good. PDB are Palm files I believe, and unless you're on a webOS or something, there's no reason to not convert them to a different format.

My advice is similar to another poster, convert them to epub. Epub should be a more open and better supported format going forward as far as free ebooks are concerned. Check out 2 epub web site. If you don't feel like downloading a program like calibre you can use this web site. I've used it. Most ebooks convert very well and flawlessly from stuff like txt or pdf but others are problematic.

I think everyone played Hangman a little bit, but it doesn't mean that it works well as a "competitive game." :p I just prefer my multi-player games today to be more skill-based rather than mostly luck. I guess when I win, I want to feel like I was challenged... and such.

I actually picked up three games off the App Store last night... Back Stab, StarFront Collision HD and Sonic & Friends Racing... the latter was universal, so I couldn't resist :p. Speaking of Universal games, Gameloft made Back Stab a universal game as well... I was surprised as almost all of their games have normal and HD variants.

Hanging with Friends is pretty good. There is a paid and free version on iOS, not sure about Android.

it's from the creators of words with friends, but it's hangman.

They also make Chess with Friends, but alas, no Android version yet.

we had a stick thread here before, but it was unsticked for some reason. now we get similar threads almost every other day.

We can make another stickied thread. If someone starts it, I'll sticky it.

I just tried Tiny Tower after reading people on neogaf raving about it, I do not see what the hype is about. It seemed like a chore instead of fun

What is the best ipad golf game? I have tiger woods 11 but I think a more arcade style would be better for touch. I tried let's gold 2 demo on an lg revolution and it was fun.

I found a free iOS game that looked like it had potential. I gave it a shot today, and it's not too bad!

It's called Bug Heroes and it's an "action RPG" where you play as different types of bugs with different sorts of abilities (essentially different classes). It's also universal!

They apparently also released a beefier game that's similar called Bug Heroes Quest (99 cents). I haven't tried it out yet, but I did buy it after seeing that the original was a decent game. It's also universal.
