I'm looking at trading my receiver (Pioneer VSX-D458) for something in the Denon 5-channel stereo line (1610 or better). How much mula could an amp like the VSX-D458 (
LINK) bring in?

Yikes, I've never seen a powered sub of a decent brand, even like a 8" 75 watt sub for under say $80 I dont think. All i can help iwth is sta away from jbl home audio subs, they seem to have amp problems.
 
The system has decent bass now, but I want a little extra kick.

Maybe I'll just go with some AR Edge satellites and worry about the sub later.

goto the for dale for trade forum. Maybe someone can hook you up with some nice used dolby prologic speakers with a subwoofer (paid $80 for my speakers and woofer and their not bad at all)
