Thread Crappers

you want to walk into a thread just to say how pointless the thread was.

that's like walking into a casual conversation some other people are having and telling them how pointless their conversation was.

it's just plain rude.

It's not like walking into a conversation. It's more like someone making an announcement to a crowd of people. I mean if someone said, "ATTENTION: my wife just left me; she went to work." they'd get all sorts of snide remarks. Maybe even food thrown at them.

Since there isn't a "throw food" button I suspect that's why people threadcrap. 😛

not exactly. this is a passive media not an aggressive one. it doesn't ring bells on your pc. you the reader have to go out of your way to find the thread, click on it and read it.

the person yelling is imposing himself on you whether you want to hear it or not. that is absolutely not true here.

There's no consequence. Until there is, thread crappers will always exist.

You are right of course.

but here's the thing, someone has used their precious time to click on and read a thread they thought might be interesting. surprisingly, it wasn't interesting, so they decide to use MORE of their precious time to tell everyone how precious their time was and that they are upset because their precious time was wasted reading the thread.

very often they spend as much time or more time responding than they did reading.

so what does it say about that persons time?

because in real life, there can be consequences to going up to a group of people and telling them that they can suck DEZ NUTZ. but do it over the internet, and your body stays intact

Everyone can be a dick on the internet.

Yup. it feels safe for them behind the computer screen.

what's funny is how angry people get when others type in all caps (which is considered rude) but doesn't get pissed off at thread crapping, how is thread crapping any less rude than typing all caps?

postcount++

meh... I'm more concerned about the people who enter every thread just to be the grand know it all and/or disagree with the OP... without even giving a thought to the topic

If I started a thread about the sky being blue.... 50 people would literally flame me that it's green, one person would say that I have a point, someone would call him gay and 5 more people would say OMGWTFBBQGRASS and the thread would die... really... its retarded.......
