Thread archives (how long are they kept)

How long are threads kept before they're deleted (if at all) off the message boards. I've been trying to look for an old thread and it doesn't show up. I guess there is no way to get search results on a thread thats too old? BTW the thread I'm looking for is about two months old.

In particular I'm trying to search for a thread in the Cases and Cooling forums. It's a thread about a member that posted his review on the PA-810. Is there any way to get that one back Zuni? TIA

Good question. A search using the keyword "archives" only revealed this message.

Max archives are kept back to when this forum started. There are 900,000 messages in there.

MaxFPS, when you go to the Search page, scroll down a bit, and you'll be able to search through the above-mentioned archived messages. Doing a body text search for PA-810 in the Cases & Cooling archives brought up about 10 or so (didn't count) threads with that in the text.

~Edit: Is this it: http://forums.anandtech.com/arcmessageview.cfm?catid=37&threadid=175411? The thread's from back in May (about 2 months ago), and from what I can tell, it has to do with a member's review of the PA-810.
