thoughts on windvr2 and winproducer 3?

I am currently using a Hauppauge wintvpvr with wintv2000 and dvdit le 2.5, to make dvd's of my Dad on cnbc, I am thinking of getting windvr2 and winproducer3 (total cost would be $140 because of upgrades) to replace wintv2000 and dvdit le, winproducer seems to have features that dvdit pe doesn?t even have, and it has been a while since the last update to dvdit, while winproducer is being updated continuously, I would think dvdit would be better, but I wonder if anyone is using these programs and what they think of them. Thanks.
