Thoughts on where to get a used set of golf clubs?

I'm looking to pick up a set (full) of used clubs. Anyone have any suggestions as to where I could do just that? I'm a major novice so nothing amazing is necessary, besides cheap of course 🙂.

Thanks in advance!

I was looking at a set of Wilson's at Sports Authority for $200. I'd probably spend a bit more for better clubs but definitely no more than $250.

I picked up a new set of Adams Idea A1 irons(including a hybrid 3 and 4) for $180. It's last year's model, but this was a $600 set of irons. If you are looking for something lower end, you might be able to spend the same or less than I did and get a decent full set including bag.

Funny you should post this, i just received my used set of Calaway X18 Irons, 4 to PW. wow, nice nice clubs. they have such a sweet balance to them. they came with precision rifled shafts. great shafts.

the entire set plus shipping was $318.00

ebay btw. not bad.

If you're near a local Golfsmith, they have pretty good prices on used sets. You can also trade yours in after a while, and most importantly, you can try them out before you buy.
