I got an e-mail from Computer Geeks offering an additional $5 off this scanner (making it $64.99).
I checked HP's website & they do offer Vista drivers for it (if I ever go to Vista), but I don't know if it's a decent scanner or not.
I doubt i'll do any negative scanning. Basically just pictures & text...sometimes something out of a book.
Anyone here have any dealings with it?

Well I had two HP scanners that lasted for years. Our first one was in 1998 when they were just beginning to make color scanners, that thing was expensive as hell, like 600$ I think. An HP 3850?. But anyways, HP has very good scanners. I didn't know that HP made standalone scanners anymore? I thought they only made multifunctions now.
