It's very clear, great lighting, great colors

Her expression is about as boring of an expression ever and she looks like she's about to say something. She has bags under her eyes.

Maybe the crop wasn't done as it was and her surroundings matched with her expression, it'd be a more interesting photo.

Awesome!

What can I do about the bags? Also the top left, how can I make that black.

That was not cropped I was messing around it seemed half decent.

Thanks for the help

You could use Photoshop to remove the bags, and also use photoshop to color the top left corner black if you want.

The picture looks good. What camera and lens? I always try to utilize the rule of thirds in my photo compositions, do you know about the rule of thirds? If not, you should look it up.

Cool, that's a pretty high F-stop/Aperature at 13, she must have been lit pretty well?

I'm not sure of any tutorials, I learned how to do it a very long time ago.

It's pretty easy, just load your image up in Photoshop, on the left you have two choices, either the healing brush tools or the Patch tool.

if using the healing brush tool, Just ALT+Click on a piece of the face in which you like the colors to sample that area, and then go to the area you want to remove blemishes and click and drag over the area. It might take a bit of practice with different techniques but overall it's really easy.

And the patch tool can be used by drawing a marquee around the area with blemishes and then you will click and drag that marquee to a clean part of the face, it will sample the area and mix it in over the blemish.

Photoshop is awesome. Doctored it up a little bit inside of Photoshop by pushing the exposure and gamma settings around, and added a little curve modification. I also took the blemishes out.

Here are my opinions:

Eyelashes clearly look fake (maybe she can put them on differently?)

Bags under eyes (can be fixed with makeup so that you don't have to fix in post)

Her expression is awkward with her lips half hanging open and her eyes just kinda looking off into space

Colors look a bit flat (not sure if you intended it to be this way).

Crop is awkward (too tight and one eye is awfully close to the edge)

Thanks for the tips

Question about expressions: How do they work? What should her face be saying? I agree her expression is a bit awkward but I didn't know what to have her do...

I'll work on the colors.
I agree the crop is too awkward. It was an accidental shot that I thought looked nice.

As someone else mentioned, i'd highly recommend applying the "rule of thirds"... I think it would help this picture a lot. At least from a crop perspective.

You said "What should her face be saying"... I'd turn that around on you... What are you trying to convey in your picture? Do you want her to look happy? Sad? Sexy? Repulsive? etc. Is it supposed to simply be a candid shot? etc.

As a note, don't let any of the feedback discourage you. You're asking for input and people are giving candid feedback. Just keep shooting and have fun with the art!

Thanks for sharing.
