Hey guys, some of you may remember reading my "monitor for the holidays" post, i'm on a REALLY tight budget here, and I came across this monitor on the egg. Which can be found here. What are your thoughts on the monitor? I will be using it for: World of Warcraft, Unreal 2k4, watching DVD movies, and internet browsing/schoolwork. And it'll be hooked up to the trusty ol' 9700 pro. I will do some reading online, and see what some reviews have to say, but just thought i'd ask you guys, seeing as how many of you are enthusiasts, and know your stuff 🙂 Thanks all!

I don't own it, but it appears to be a solid monitor. The specs are pretty good, it has a 3yr warranty that covers the backlight, and it's much cheaper than their Xbrite premium series. I'd say go for it.
 
If I'm not wrong, my school uses these monitors for one of their AMD64 labs, and they are pretty tight, at least when I'm programming on it. I don't have much experience with LCDs(I'm a CRT person), and those monitors have been abused by thousands of engineering students who rub their greasy fingers on them (I'm guilty too 🙂 ) but all in all, pretty nice monitor for text at least.
 
haha thanks you two, i'm slowly gaining confidence here 🙂, i'm trying to find some reviews online to see how the monitor works out in games though. And of course that dead pixel thing is in the back of my mind (fingers crossed)
