Thoughts on this monitor setup - Is it possible?

Hi All,

I am looking to slowly build out my monitor setup at my home.

It will be used for working from home, and gaming.
- CS:GO, Civ VI, BF1, etc.

My thoughts are as follows.

Two 27" 4k Dell probably p2715q. These would be located on the left and right in portrait mode

In the middle I would drop an Asus PG348q which would be the main monitor and gaming monitor.

Is this possible?
Is this something that would work?

You would have different pixel density which I personally find annoying as hell on multimonitor setups, switching from one monitor to another is jarring with mismatched pixel density. And the portrait monitors would be much taller than the middle monitor, by a good 6+ inches.

That's the plan. I find it extremely useful to be able to have two/4 windows boxed in a vertical alignment.

The pixel density is my largest question personally but I'm dealing with a 1080p/4k switch at work right now and it's not too annoying...

Sounds like you know what you're getting into. If you understand the drawbacks of the differing pixel density and size difference, then by all means, it should be a pretty nice setup for productivity, and gaming on the centre ultrawide.
