As a retro gamer AND PC gamer, WiiU's lower specs don't really bother me. I'll play a great game even if it's on Commodore 64. Show me the games, and WiiU will be a buy. I'm already pretty solidly happy with my 3DS XL.

Well, I think my hopes on getting a new Mario game as epic as Galaxy have been thoroughly dashed.🙁

IGN has all the info. Highlights are...

Super mario 3d world is a 3d land clone with 4 players, mega man in smash bros, flying cars in Mario kart, the new retro games title is another fucking 2d donkey Kong, multiplayer in wonderful 101 revealed, and a new Pokémon for y and x. Oh and the new lttp2 has a title...A link between worlds.

I was wrong about Nintendo...I defended them and said they could pull off a miracle at e3. They failed me hard this time.

A 3d land clone on the wiiu is NOT what we wanted Nintendo... Shit.

I can't even get excited about X. It may not come here and if it does it may be like xenoblade. Rare as hell

So I admit it...I was wrong about Nintendo. They really are stuck in a rut. No new Zelda no real 3d Mario and no metroid

the new zelda on 3ds looks nice though. too bad it's not on wiiu.

It is isometric and on the 3dsbit highlights the 3d effect by doing it this way. Things have depth and stick out. On Mario 64 it was more like the 3d Zelda titles you know?


This isn't truly a 3d Mario as far as I am concerned.

Wow...worse than MS even. Sigh... Nintendo is my blood, I really want a new Nintendo system with more than 3 games. Why do all these once greats have their head up their ass?

Notice Nintendo is pulling an Atari? Atari tried to redo HD versions of shit like Breakout. Clinging to the bitter end.

And Capcom, Sony, 343 etc. etc. did this gen with HD remakes/remasters....

I was hoping for a few surpirse games (i guess DK was one), but over all it was ok... not horrible
 
Im waiting for the developers conference at 12.. maybe they'll show something there.. and since direct is prerecorded anyway... oh well one can hope 😀 pretty much 2014 is the the day i get it unless it goes cheap today
 
Nintendo is killing themselves. Some games that were supposed to be launch window games aren't coming until 2014. A new Donkey Kong Country and the Wind Waker remake about a year after launch. Mario Kart and Smash Bros in 2014, HD versions of both are nice but nothing truly new. A second New Super Mario Bros type game but in a 3D environment. No truly new Mario game. Zelda on 3DS but nothing on the Wii-U. No Metroid at all.

Luckily my PC backlog is pretty extensive right now and I'm looking to build again later this year so I'll be ok putting off the new consoles for a while. Should be able to hold out for price drops. Hell, I'll probably see a PS4 price drop around the time I get caught up. $350 for a Wii-U is a bit much next to a $400 PS4, so I would think we'll see a price drop around the end of the year. They'll need something to help them out during the holidays since the current schedule of games won't be doing much.

Dunno, but it looked like the exact same gameplay with 4 players. Honestly...it's disappointing.

Nintendo did show 14 3rd party titles but I don't think any of them were exclusive except Beyonetta, Wonderful 101 and some dance game.
 
Well, I managed to get a brand new Wii U basic for $120 so I'm not complaining. The only game I bought is the new Super Mario Bros game and it's great. Once Zelda and Mario Kart come out I will be happy.

Hey for $120 that's a good deal really. I just think they fumbled at E3 when they could have shown us that they were working on something special. We get the standard fare instead.

Look I love mario bros, the classic platformer. I just think the WiiU and Nintendo themselves, need the big 3D Mario adventure and to announce and show a taste of a new Zelda or metroid title. They need it because without it...I still love them but I don't feel they have a positive future with the WiiU.
