I'm currently in the market for a new phone. I've never been much of a texter, but even with the limited texting I do perform, I am getting pissed at using the number pad to type out messages, so I am looking into a new PDA/Smartphone with a thumb-board.
I have been seriously considering the Moto-Q from Sprint since it seems to fit my needs just about perfectly. Slim, light, QWERTY keyboard, basic PDA apps, but I want to get thoughts on other possible phones. My only reservations about the Q are that it runs Windows Mobile 5.0, and I've read horror stories online of peoples Q's locking up all the time. Could anybody shed some light on those concerns?
Here is what I need in a new phone:
- QWERTY thumb-board
- PDA functions (to replace my Handspring Visor Deluxe LOL)
- Slim/Lightweight (Must be able to fit comfortably in my pocket)
- Memory slot would be nice
- Option for Third Party apps are also a plus
My contract with Sprint is up, but I am still happy with them and their coverage in my area is among the best. However, if it would be beneficial to switch providers I'm open to suggestions as well. (I won't do AT&T however. Sorry Steve Jobs.)
