Thoughts on the 350z convertible??

When I think of ugly cars, I think of the Aztek and then 350z convertible. I do like the look of the 350z coupe. I'm generally a big fan of convertibles but not the look of the 350z vert.

If you like it, buy it.

Spring for a 370. 350 is not much of a change from your G35 and they are dogs.

If you're going to change up your vehicle, might as well cover some ground and not take baby steps.

And the convertible thing is only cool... for about a month.

+1 on 370z

plenty of 370z with simple/minor bolt-ons are hitting 12's in the 1/4. Only way for that to happen in a 350z is if you add a SC and some more stuff. I wouldn't get it mainly because its too close to a G35. You already know the pros to the car since its nearly the same platform as the G.

not sure if they do have a 370z vert...

Agree with others, although I acknowledge that the price difference between an '04 350Z Vert and a 370 is probably at least double. If you didn't already have something like a G35, were coming from a taurus/camry or whatever, then maybe it would be a pretty big upgrade. As is, you'll get a crappier interior and virtually identical performance, combined with tremendous road noise.

350z = convertible.

g35 not convertible

I have already owned 3 convertible and absolutely love them. I have a 25 mile commute and I would most likely drive home with the top down every day.

OTOH my g35 is beautiful and an incredible car so it's a tough choice.

I think I really want a g37, but the price is an issue and may have to wait a little longer.

BTW the 350z was $20k, I believe.

I say go for the convertible. Especially if you know you like them. I certainly wouldn't wait around just to get a convertible with more horsepower. IMO top down brings a thousand time more joy in driving than more power.

Yeah, especially when it rains and you can't go fast. :awe:
