I am in the process of choosing parts to build a new gaming/web design system. I really want to build it soon because right now I'm running on an old Abit BX6r2 w/ a Celeron 433 and 128mb PC100 w/ a Voodoo3 2000 AGP. Pretty slow for most games nowadays. I was planning on ordering my system including 512mb PC2100, GF2 Pro, 1gig AXIA T-Bird @ 1.3gig, w/ an Epox 8K7A. I recently saw the benchmarks of the new SiS735 chipset and was surprised. I have decided to hold off on ordering my parts (I might order the DDR RAM now tho because these prices can't last long, what do you all think about that?). From the preliminary reports, what do you all think of this new chipset? I scanned thru most of the reviews, but I didn't notice too many hardware conflicts and it seemed to be quite stable. Do you all think it will run good w/ most mainstream components? How do you think it will run in win2k? Finally, does anyone have any kind of an idea on when Asus, MSI, Epox, or maybe even Abit will release a board based around this chipset?
