A friend suggested picking this up for $50 bucks off of new egg, but I've never heard of this brand and can't find any reviews related to Rosewill cases/power supplies. As this is my first build, I'd like to get something reliable, but for $50 with 400w it seems like a great deal.

Anyone have any experience our thoughts to help out the new guy?

Thanks

This looks to be a L&C LC-B400ATX power supply.
From an arstechnica post:
The Tom's Hardware Guide review is better than most PS reviews, although technically it's not the best way... (which also tells you the sad state of PS reviews. )

Repost from an older thread... well this one actually (here):

PC Power and Cooling
Delta
NMB
Sparkle/Forton-Source/Powerman
Antec (specifically TruePower)
Herochi (HEC)

Also to be considered:
Enermax
ChannelWell Technology (CWT)/TurboLink
Enhance
Ya Hsin
TTGI (looks good)

Unsure:
AGI/HiPro (I've beaten up on some of these too, but haven't used many beyond 250watts. May be SPI units?)

Avoid:
Codegen
Deer/Foxlink/Allied
Logic Concept
L&C
Topower
FMI
Raidmax
Powmax (some may be ok?)
