Thoughts on Corsair RM Series?

I am looking at a Corsair RM750 for a proposed new Haswell i5 initial single GPU with dual SLI/Xfire a possibility down the road. Upper level GPU, not sure yet which one. Any thoughts on this PSU, other recommendations? Last upper level PSU I bought was a PC Power & Cooling pre OCZ days.

Good unit overall but far from flawless, and a bit costly for what it is.

Where are you shopping at?

Amazon or Egg, I have Prime so Amazon often is a better deal with the free shipping. So far around $129.99

I looked at Seasonic as well, the review link you posted does not give me the warm and fuzzy feeling for the RM series.

At the moment I'd get a Seasonic SSR-750RM (AKA G-750) from newegg for $122 shipped, $107 after rebate.

From Amazon you could get Rosewill Capstone 750-M $120 but it's not quite as good as Seasonic G750. And if you dont mind rebates, the Corsair AX760 platinum is also a better pick than Capstone for $130 AR.

Thanks, some good options and prices to choose from. I want minimal coil whine, I can hear it on my Dell currently, not sure if it's me but I am hypersensitive to it.

I've got a Seasonic G650, no coil whine. In fact I haven't even heard the unit over my other fans (which are quiet) when loading the system to a few hundred watts.

Keep in mind though that with any PSU there's chance of coil whine... but it's not likely. I've had three Seasonics, none of them whined.
