Hey all,

In preparation for trading in this vehicle I wanted to fix 2 cosmetic body problems to boost its value as high as possible.
Details:
-2001 Chevy Prizm
-~60K miles
-Still under GM warranty until 100K
-Interior is spotless
-Exterior is as well except for these 2 spots.

How much do those that have gotten similar work done/work in the field think I should agree to pay for such repair [includes painting it the same color as the car]. Also, where should I get this work done...I doubt the dealership; Maaco? Private, small body shop? If it means anything I am in Connecticut.

The Damage:

2 Weeks into owning this vehicle I am up at college parked in the garage, which costs $350 extra and lo and behold I find this next to my vehicle. It appears as if someone pulled too close and rubbed up against the vehicle slightly. No car next to mine has any damage and I didn't have one next to mine. Purely cosmetic so I was extremely mad but nonetheless put off fixing it...It's on my hosting.

About 3 months later the vehicle is at my work in another parking garage. I am walking to my car and notice it disfigured...I think that was an understatement. As it is in a major city the garage has cameras but where I parekd there is no coverage. Just the thoroughfares and openings are covered (insert: what the hell!)

I am about to turn 21, 1 ticket 4 years ago[not on record]/no accidents in 5 years of driving, yet my insurance with full coverage is already sky-high even on this small family sedan. I didn't want to make a claim. Fast forward about 9 months and I am going to rid myself of this car. It is almost paid in full so I will recoup a few thousand after trade-in if I get the body work fixed.

So what should I be looking at guys? Thanks a ton.
