Thoughts on bone conduction being an everyday technology?

Hey Everyone,

I am curious what everyone's thoughts on bone conduction hardware being an everyday companion or technology are? For information purposes of course.

Also, how cool would it be if we could operate our smart devices and their mobile applications by our voice instead of our hands? Do you think you would be more productive and get more things accomplished in the day?

I forget the name, might of had bone in it, but there used to be a "headphone" that didn't go in your ears, just draped over your shoulders and used bone conduction to transmit the sound.

I have a set of aftershokz bone conduction phones. They're useful for some special purposes, but not a headphone replacement for the average user.

We're not far from being able to control smart devices by voice, but it takes extra work to program the apps to do it, so how much are you willing to pay for them, and how much are you willing to annoy everyone around you who has to listen to you constantly talking to your phone? heh, I know it's crazy, that I don't want you talking on a phone because it's far more of an interruption than your fingers silently pecking away.

We are used to people talking on a cell phone with a headset, and the "trick" with voice control is that you only need ONE device to understand your voice, Siri/Alexa etc and that devices talks to your other devices in the usual wifi etc way.

Also they make microphones that pick up subvocalization, even less than a whisper. Think of Landro's assistant in the city in the clouds with the full time headset.

No we aren't, that's extremely rude and if you have to be around the same person for a good length of time, you start daydreaming about assaulting them with a baseball bat.

They are the only thing I use. Work great, and nothing on/over/in my ears.
