That makes no sense. If it's not wrong to do something, then who cares how many times you do it? If it's not wrong to read the paper, who cares if I do it every morning?

I think its wrong to use it as a form of birth control. For example i dont want women using abortion instead of the pill. But if you are on the pill and its .3% chance does happen i see no problem with aborting the baby as early as possible. Abortion should be the last line of BC not the first.

As ive said many times already. The earlier the abortion the better. Sure its alive, but it does not know life.

What does it mean to "know life"? What if you sustain a severe head trauma and enter into a coma without hope of recovery of consciousness? Should your life still be protected by the law, even if machines are required to help you breathe, and you have no indications of self awareness?

I am pretty extreme on my abortion thinking though since id rather have less unwanted/unplanned babies in the world. Plus i have been in the situation once when i was young and almost got F'ed over by the psycho bitch.

 You should have said that from the start. So you knocked up some woman, vilified her ("psycho bitch") even though it was your choice to sleep with her, and desperately wanted to avoid responsibility? That explains quite a bit.

As you enjoy demonstrating, your grip on your ignorance is beyond my limited persuasive powers. Sorry.

All bark, and no bite. Pretty much what I expected.

Facts don't require persuasion. They simply are, or they are not. If I were legitimately as ignorant as you have charged, demonstrating such would be utterly trivial. That you cannot merely reveals your charges for what they are: petulant frustration with the fact that your prejudices are unsupportable.

It's really gotta suck to be you.

If you're looking for morons, check the mirror. Then check Atheists for Life to see how the religion-abortion link isn't as strong as you think.

What about the demonstrations outside the abortion clinics and the attack and murder of doctors?

I did say while in the womb didnt i? A coma later in life is a whole nother matter for faimly and doctors to discuss and deal with. And yes im fine with pulling the plug on coma patients if you are curious. I would want it done to me as well.

I was in the Navy and was 20 at the time. She was my gf whom i lived with in an apartment. Overall we dated for about 2 years. One day she just decided to stop taking her BC pill without telling me. Then one day its basically 'suprise im prego'. Im like WTF. Then she tells me she stopped taking her BC pills about 6 months ago and didnt tell me. So why should i be burdened with that responsibility from a lying psycho? She eventually got an abortion from pressure from her parents to do so. Yes she was mentally unstable and was taking meds to combat that. She put sissors to my neck once..and only once. I walked away after that for good.

Which I'm trying to understand. How is it OK to do it once, but not OK to do it 10 times?

Morals have limits? To me their is a difference between someone who had maybe 1 or 2 abortions their whole life vs. someone who has 6 a year for many years in a row. To me one is irresponsible and needs to be on the pill or sterilized and the other most likely was trying to be responsile and prevent being prego but had an oopsy.

If abortion isn't "wrong", how can getting pregnant and then aborting the child be irresponsible?

It is irresponsible in that their are better ways of not having a baby that you should not put your body through an abortion on a regular basis. They have these magic pills ya know. The work like 99.7% of the time..so they say. That would be a good responsible start.

For example my wife is on bc pill and i have been looking into getting "the snip". To me those are responsible things to do to prevent birth. But should they not work after trying to be responsible in the first place and she does get prego. I have no problem turning to abortion, nor does she.

It isnt a life yet.

It most definitely life, is the very beginning of life.

It only had potential for life if left alone to finish its growth process from a clump of cells.

We are all "clumps of cells", who are you to determine what someone's "potential for life" is?

Again this all depends on when you decide life is. For me its when outside the womb.

Yea, so an hour before it's born it still isn't a "life", you're disgusting.

Than maybe you shouldn't have been boning a psycho bitch. Killing babies because they are inconvenient is disgusting.

They themselves said so and the pickets read so.

Nat Hentoff, political columnist, author, and pro-lifer, is also, among others, an atheist. If you find evidence to the contrary, let me know. Christopher Hitchens is also not shy about proclaiming himself an atheist, and also proclaims himself pro-life. Stop clinging to your strawmen.

My buddy and I were laughing together at anti-women's rights folks the other day as he mops up a adult theatre with bleach every night. The horror! Genocide!

Both Nat Hentoff and Christopher Hitchens are considered idiosyncratic in their political and social viewpoints. For example, both are generally considered "liberal" (in the American sense of the word), but both supported the invasion of Iraq.

Are you really suggesting that there are more than a handful of pro-life atheists?

I dont really support abortion, neither do I think the government should pay for it. Regardless of what you may think of abortion, I dont think we should encourage it. I have not met many women who brag about how they just got an abortion. Instead of fighting whether it is legal, we should just try to minimize it as a practice.

I think it's an entirely legitimate form of birth control and should be used whenever appropriate (i.e. the mother wants one).

There should be no shame in having an abortion. Any person that tries to shame a woman that is having an abortion is no better than the Westboro Baptist Church scum that protest at the funerals of slain soldiers.

So? I admire them for avoiding clinging to the assumed policy positions of their political side. If only there were more true free thinkers like them. Most people are just sheep who flatter themselves into believing they think for themselves.

The number of such people is irrelevant; the mere fact they exist demonstrates that not every pro-lifer is a Bible-thumper. There's a secular pro-life argument to be made, but most people avoid it because it's just easier mentally to roll your eyes and mutter "Jesus freaks!" without thinking any more about it.
