I'm hoping this is your second, maybe 3rd RC car? If not, get ready crash that thing everywhere. I'm strictly an electric guy myself cuzz I don't like all that crap I have to do after each run, and I don't like the inability to run indoors cuzz of the smell.

How much did you pay for it? I personally like this kit.

it's my 4th r/c car. first nitro however.

i own 3 hpi ones

rs4 pro2
rs4 mini
rs4 micro

now i'm going to own a schumacher...i got everything for 400 w/ radio

mx-3 w/ start nitro package. 400 shipped. the car alone goes for bout 400 shipped.

:) the deal got me hooked so i had to get it.

the micro is a great car to play inside or out. the mini i'm selling, the pro2 i'm keeping (it's fast!) we had a police car radar clocked it at 52mph on a 14turn motor

BAH get a OFF ROAD car man! so much more fun than on-roads

ElFenix, check out HPI's new monster truck, it tears the t-maxx apart, and plus you wont be following what everyone else has.

I wish i had the money for a new car

HPI NMT w/ O.S. .15cv-x, and many other upgrades. I also need to rebuild the engine

I went with a Associated NTC3. I like the car alot. It is easy to setup and maintain. Parts are cheap and easy to come buy if a major crash (there are have some mods to make the diffs stronger). Pretty good aftermarket support. Plus it won last years Ifmar World Championship. I spent about 1,500 last year on the car. This includes a digital metal gear airtronics comp servo for stearing the p/m airtronics comp servo for stearing, m8, engine, starter box, fuel, bodies, tires (you will go through them alot), tools, etc...i think it was a good fun investment.

yah, I got some pictures...sorry for the late reply...I had a CIS lab due...

side view

got height????

diff case mod and two speed

graphite tray shot

ae starter box

body shot angle side

enjoy...feel free to hit my up on any tuning questions...

one tip. Break your engine in hard. Dont idle tanks. Idle only at the most one or two. Third thank take it out on very very low speeds then build up grad. Also do a spit test on your heat sink (if you dont have temp gun) you dont want your spit boiling off (if it does...idle her to let her cool). By tank 6-8 you should be hitting mid-speed throttle blips and short hits at WOT...

I still have a Losi LX-T that I bought in spring of 1994. I rebuilt it last year with a bunch of clearance parts from hobby stores on the internet!

Does anyone remember these old stadium, 2WD, electric trucks? it's still great fun though!

SHoddyCOmp...oh yah I do race her...this is the track that we race @ in Columbus, Ohio, CORCAR. I think it was just built, for this season, somtime last week. I plan on going out there sometime next week and get her readjusted for the track. Gotta pick up a new feul tank, rebuild my shocks, and get some new nitro shoes, and paint up a nice new stratus.

I made the mistake of buying a Duratrax Maximum BX, damn thing was a nitemare, untill I got
a new motor OS .12 CV-X, new shock, new front and rear A-arms, new diff, spurgear, tires, rims
full bearing kit even though it said it had one, and a couple of extra part, damn thing runs like a champ.

Perfect time to ask you guys. I have a Hpi rs4 pro3 and was wondering what is the easiest to pop off the ball joints? One of the ball studs has worked its way out and I need to screw it back in. I have tried to get it off but the sucker is on there good and I dont want to break it.

man i feel old..

i had an rc10 as my first car.

my last car was an rc10gt

i sold it to my dad and he still has it.

i did some heavy mods to the engine ( not all were legal for racing ) and it was able to idle for about 2 minutes
and due wheelies anytime. i used to race it againts 1/8th scales and keep up.

what are some rc car or plane forums or newbie websites? I've never owned anything besides the pos tyco cars(12-15 years ago?).

I'm not sure, I learned on my own the hard way with wasted money and broken inferior parts, or from friends.

This would be a good board, I think.

EngenZero--

Cool to here about CORCAR !! I don't know if it's the same club or if anyone from the original crew is still around.. I was at the meeting where CORCAR got started by people from the first r/c club in Columbus, MORCAR. Must have been 1979 or something.

I started racing r/c in Columbus in 1974 with a 1/12 electric. Raced just about everything at one time or another until about 10 years ago.

Your Associated sure looks sweet ! I'll have to come out to that track sometime and watch you guys run. :D
