06 X model(base) with power w/l cruise 4x4 6speed manul

58k miles for ~12,000

my ZJ is leaving me to go back to my friend I bought it from 2 years ago here in a few weeks.....

picked her up in columbia, mo with a buddy thursday, he was great to take a day off work and spend it all in a car driving.

bought him some Booche's as a thanks on recommendation of the seller and his brother, and it was a good call. great burgers and chili

title and plated applied for yesterday

2006 Xterra X 6spd.

59k miles

awesome trucks. good motor, real 4x4 capabilities.

my only gripes is the short wheel base makes the rear seats a bit "bucky" on uneven pavement

only issues are the front u-joints seem to fail relatively early. I would look them over on any truck with over 40k on them

GREAT 4.0 engine. Good off road/towing capabilities. Looks good also. Go for it, the only SUV I would choose over this is a Cherokee, 4runner or Land Cruiser.

no way would I put a cherokee over it... the land cruiser, ok I see that, and the 4 runner maybe, but only because of the interior, not due to capability.

sounds like a winner....

going to look at a G35X tonight, a little pricier at ~17K and 66k miles, I dont think the wife will go for it as its a bit smaller than she thinks we need....

I don't know but I thought xterra was one of the undesirable vehicle when the governemtn was trying to tell everyone to scrap(program) their car.

I don't know about 06 but the 05 xterra is great. My mommy drives one. Hasn't had any problems yet.

Only complaint is that it's really high up and can be a bit awkward to get into. You basically need to buy the additional running boards.

It's a real SUV, of course it's high up. I bet it can tow better than a Corolla though

You'd have to be nuts to choose a Cherokee over an Xterra. If this was 1999, sure. Unless you're a hardcore rock crawler.

why all the hate on Cherokees? IMO they look very nice(simple and classic), sure they might have a weaker axles but I just like it.. and the 4LHO bulletproof engine helps lol.

I have one and it looks great, and is pretty good offroad... But the platform is too old, especially for a unibody. Dates back to 1984. Compared to modern cars, it always feels like it's on the verge of falling apart with all the creeking and groaning. Once you lift it, the ride is horrible on rough surfaces because of the control arm angles. I have to slow down to a crawl on badly maintained roads otherwise I can just feel the poor unibody rattling apart.

I bought my 05 GC w/ 55k used ... 4.7L V8, that's about all that was good..

water pump failed, drive shaft replaced, tranny replaced, sunroof leaked water down A Pillars...shame, I liked the look of it..but that was all it had going for it in my book.

I wish I got an xterra, but in patrol form.

pretty much all that. I looked at 05-08's, but so many complaints, interior not worth the $$$. still having tranny issues, axles, its gotten soft(no cherokee just the GC now)

wtf kind of moron list a vehicle for sale when he doesnt have the title

me: scan and email me the title and my bank will cut me a check

seller: oh well I dont have it, it should be here next week, paid it off 2 weeks ago and the new title hasnt showed up from DMV yet

you CANNOT sell a vehicle without the goddamn title when you are represeneting it as ready to go damnit

all he needs is the lien release. that should have easily been to him within 2 wks

Brother had an Xterra. Decent truck. Had the U joints go bad on him and his trailer wiring was all screwed up from the factory (never got it fixed, Nissan wouldn't bother with it since it was after 36k miles or something like that). Other than that, no real issues, but since he never cleared 100k miles on it I'd hope it wouldn't have any major issues.

I guess he got a new title issued? either way, he doesnt have the title

how can you think you can sell a vehicle without the title?

05 is the start of the current gen, so they are almost identical

Great vehicle. The only downside is the engine is pretty thirsty, otherwise it's a very solid drive-train and extremely reliable.
