Thought you all might like to see my car all clean and the outline of the ghost flames and bird removed.

Pic one front

Pic two front

Pic three front

Pic four Hood. You can make out the flames and bird.

Pic five. Back of car

Pic Six Under the hood

And last one seven. The interior (needs to be vacuumed out and whats left to finish off the car)

Pic of before I removed my out lines. I outlined it all in hopes of painting in the flames and birb black. I think it would set the car off more the the ghost stuff would if it were all filled in.

Another before shot

A shot of under the car and what I love about southern cars :D

Just a little 305 TBI V8. 170 horses but pushes out 250 FT LB's of torque. She will chirp the tires shifting down into passing gear and once again shifting into second gear. Gets 16 MPG City and is rated at 26 Highway but I get over 30 for its all flat land here so I turn on the cruise and sit back and relax. Beautiful car, runs and handles like a new car.

Hurts me to have it up for sale though. Get a lot of kid tire kickers. I scared the sh!t out of the last little punks that wanted to take it for a ride. Told them nah let me take you for the ride and show you what it can do. Never seen a kid jump out of a car so fast when we got back :D I dont know why. Swear he never floored a car before or slammed a tranny into low gear and had the rear end lock up and hop squealing to a slow down really fast without touching the brakes. Did all the fun stuff you can do to an older American Muscle car you dont dare do in any tinfoil aluminum engine/tranny/diff of today be it an import or American.

Anyway there she is, isnt she beautiful :D

Well, it's a little early.

You make me wanna go wash and wax mine.

I wish they had done a ghost flame on the side of the GTO as an option. It would have set the car apart.

BTW-nice job

Obligitory "MULLLLLEEEEETTTTTTTT!" post.

Sounds like a fun car to drive. The kind you can abuse a little but it'll still run forever.

Thats the best thing about older American muscle. As long as you buy a Chevy, :D, with a 305 or 350 they are built like a tank, easy to work on, and parts are cheap. If I blew up the tranny, a rebuilt is about $500 and under an hour to put in. The motor if that goes same price but about 3 to take the old out and the new in. As for anything else, HA, its an older American car there isnt anything else other then the engine and tranny :p

This car gets its fair share of beating from me and it keeps asking for more, my boys love it with the t-tops off and doing burn outs. My youngest is always begging to go fast, especially around corners. That boy is going to be a hand full when he gets older and starts driving like the old man was.

Nice man... I'd like to beat it up a bit if given the chance.

Looks like a lesson in American automobiles.

And you might want to reconsider "beating on it" in the eyes of customers even if it can take it. Although it sounded like you didn't want some young guy buying it and wrapping it around a tree so if that was the reason I give you a big thumbs up.

nice car. but you shouldn't have done that to the rear window. you should probably take Gautama2's advice and steam vacum the interior.

If it is a legit person that really wants to buy it then there is no more then a few times you floor it to check the tranny and engine sounds. These kids just didnt know how to drive and want to show off in front of their friend and have the bragging rights to say they drove it. I wanted to make sure they never came back and told all their other friends not to come over for thats one crazy mother who owns that car ;)

As for the carpet. Thats how it is supposed to look EXCEPT where the feet go in the back. That could use a cleaning or some mats to cover it up. Other then that its grey and black carpet.

I was going to say you needed a new firechicken on there, but as you're selling it no big deal.

Why are you selling it anyways? :p

Cant drive it anymore. Between my headache and the wonder pills, my back is getting worse and its getting harder for me to get in and out of the car. Im getting some tests done for my head on Monday and then the 5th talk to the doctor about the result. Hopefully he will release me from my driving ban or it will become perm. If released I want to take the money and get a suburban, pick up truck (extended cab with a cap), or a van (all chevy of course) so it will be easier to get in and out of and little more room for the family. IF not, and my driving becomes taken away for ever, then Im taking some of the money to buy me a Wii and some games and the rest will go up for a rainy day.

Sorry but I have to say those were the ugliest firebird you could buy. I had a 69 camaro and 95 firebird but wouldn't touch a 3rd gen firebird with a 10 foot pole. Looks clean though. Good luck selling it.

I added some before shots and one of the underneith. I like before because you actually got to see the flames and bird without having to be right up on the car to see it. Wish I was able to fill it all in like I wanted to. I took it to a few places before I removed my traces to see what they would charge to have them do it and wanted almost $3k jsut to fill in the flames and bird

Took me 2 hours to remove the traces needles to say ;)

Here is the craiglist listing if anyone care to read whats been done to it and what needs to be finished.
Stuck that up lastnight and had a couple bites already so it may go, its near christmas so I prolly have a few months still to look at it. Not in a big rush to see it go and got plenty of time to hold out for my price or close to it. If not I can always store it and give it to one of my boys when the get old enough to drive.
