thought this was kinda neat, AirZooka! gun shoots air pulse across the room:)

Bah, my 11 horsepower two stage 150 gallon, 175 p.s.i. air compressor at my shop will literally blow that thing away. ;)

ok, i didn't find a bucket, but I found a one pint haagendaz carton and a Target shopping bag and made a mini airzooka. I can hit my roomates from across the room! Awesome! At first I made the exit hole too big, but now it's about an inch and a half in diameter and it works good. I also found a little lightbulb and socket from a booklight at the dollar store and used that to sandwich the bag to make a knob with which to pull back on the bag. A couple of rubber bands complete the airzooka. Yall should make one. Easy and fun!

15 foot candle shot!!! W00t!!
Even with the sight, i need about 10 tries to get the damn candle flame out. But when it hits, the flame goes RIGHT out. as if someone was blowing it out point blank. Pretty cool.

Kinda dark pic

No real secret to making it. Just found something with which to hold the bag, I used a small lightbulb and socket. screwed the bulb with the bag into the socket. Then used a rubber band to pull it down toward the bottom. The hole in the bottom (not shown) is an inch and a half in diameter. And that's pretty much it. :)
Now everyone go make your own and annoy your friends/family/pets!

How do you attach things at the front? Is there a bar or rubber band going accross the hole? Does the bag have to be pulled exactly towards the center of the hole?

Dunno but I know Thinkgeek does. That's where I first saw them. It can be yours for only $15.99 + shipping and handling. ;)

Here's where the rubber band attaches to the carton. The shape of the bag pretty much keeps the lightbulb knob centered, so you just pull back till the bag is taught.

I can see it now, aim a little too low and knock the candle over, then your house starts on fire

Well, I tried to make one and am failing.:(
I used a 24oz soup tub (similar in shape to an ice cream carton. but a little larger)
cut a 1.5" hole in the bottom (small end)
created the back end from a plastic shopping bag,
used an empty tube of blistex for the handle(tube on one side, top on the other)
rubber band to hold the plastic bag onto the soup tub.
rubber band for power.

...and I can't even knock over a 20 coke bottle from a foot away!

I hope that bottle is empty!
Seriously though, when you shoot yourself in the face, do you feel a big puff of air? It should be pretty strong at point blank range. And make sure your bag is air tight against your can. I used packing tape.

And you might wanna play around with the size of the hole. At first I made mine too big, but it just let the air out too quick and didn't create the vortex effect. Then I tried the hole from a center of a CD. but that was too restrictive. I settled for something in between and got good results. If you have a bigger container than my HaagenDaz carton, you might wanna go with a bigger hole as well, since you're obviously going to be pushing more air than I.

And the blistex tube is a good idea, but if you're using the whole tube, you should probably cut it down, as it's slowing down the acceleration of the bag due to it's relatively large mass. Just enough for something to grab.

I got a hold of a Mega sized popcorn bucket from the theater tonight, and am gonna make a full sized Airzooka clone!
