This stuff might be some of the best renders out there but I still don't see anything to be excited about.
The light still seems unusual, I guess there's more math to be done before we get truly natural light.
The hand skin textures are pretty good, the nails don't look right (I've never seen nails like those before, any of them). The shapes of the fingers needs work. The thumb in one of the renders doesn't look right at all.
The faces, eyes, and facial skin probably is fine if it weren't for the unusual light, though there's still something missing in the eyes, they're shiny but they look like they're actually wet, maybe it's just the lighting again.
Anyone a DS9 fan? There was an episode where Odo said he could change to look like a bird, and to us it would seem like a real bird, but it would never fool another bird.
That's how I see these renders. Good stuff, but there's progress to be made before we ever mistake one of these renders for another person.
The movie itself? I'm one of those punks who thinks the movie could have stood on its own as "The Spirits Within". Selling it with the FF title was rather lame IMO.
