I had been pushing my system well over 200 fsb, trying to tighten memory timings, and raising my agp frequency when I got some BSOD's. So I set it back to my normal 200 fsb, 66MHz agp, and known good memory timings. Now I had a problem: games were not running smoothly anymore.
I was about to reformat but decided to do some maintenance. I ran AdAware and found 20 foreign objects running in my system. I also deleted everything in Windows Prefetch, used RegCleaner, ran Wash and Go, cleared out the page file (set no page file and rebooted and then reset my normal page file), and ran a virus scan and The Cleaner to look for trojans (no viruses or trojans).
I just played UT2003 for an hour and its back to normal. Whew!
