Someone here in the OT forums (not saying who, just for my own reasons) Has asked to meet with me and I am not too sure if I should..I want to, I really do () but have never done this before and wanted to see if you had good or bad experiences with it.....

Depends on who it is. Make sure you know their REAL name, etc, before hand. If it is someone who seems nice and you do decide to meet them, make sure to take along a friend. Better to play it safe.

It all depends on what the other person is like. Can you trust him (I'm going to assume it's a male) implicitly? Of course if you know kung-fu and can break his ass, there's no problem.

In all seriousness, have you gotten this person's real name, or communicated over the phone before? Without those two steps haven't being completed I don't think I'd spring for it. Sorry, whomever.

There was a get-together not too long ago, several people from the Distributed Computing forum hung out one weekend playing LAN games and such. I missed it unfortunately.

But that was a group. Meeting somebody 1-on-1 would pretty weird if you ask me. :disgust:

Wow, has anyone taken a look at the times/dates in between each of these posts? I did a double-take when I finished editing that first post of mine and Thunderbooty had already replied to it...where are you all at? I've met 2 people from Anands so far. Both were good experiences but it was just guys hanging out, partying. I might meet SHUX on Sat. if I'm not drunk by 10:00am
