Thought for the Day

OPEC sells oil for $136.00 a barrel.

OPEC nations buy U.S. Grain at $7.00 a bushel.

Solution: Sell grain for $136.00 a bushel.

Can't buy it? Tough! Eat your oil.

Ought to go well with a nice thick grilled fillet of camel butt.

While I think we do have the upper hand, it is most definitely a double edged sword. If we could just drill in alaska... stock pile enough oil for a few months to a year, and completely stop buying from opec. Wait until they cry for us to come back.

This is a little confusing to me.
Who owns the oil in Alaska? If it was me, I'd be selling it at the going rate, $136 a barrel.

Well, currently, it seems as if the government owns it as a majority of it is under land in which the government owns. But yes, if it was owned & drilled by a private company, this would not work.
