i was driving down to ISU to pickup someone and on the highway the FM started to die.. so i turned to AM and and was listening to one station for awhile.
i think it was a christian station and the host was arguing that the Commandments say "Thou shall not murder" but NOT thou shall not kill...
he was explaining thus it is OK to kill people as long as you dont murder someone.
he said differece was that murder is when you are killing someone for no reason. and killing is done to protect your way of life...
and so he was saying that since terrorists threaten our way of life, it is perfectly normal for US soldiers to kill the middle easterns and even the bible is saying its ok..
i do understand where he might be coming from(although i dont agree)... but can someone who is more knowledable into the teachings of christianity share some thoughts into this?
