I was just wondering if technology has changed, last time i had a wireless board and mouse every time i had to change batteries i had to reconnect the mouse and board to teh transmitter. i must say it was rather annoying to do this every 2 days.

I was looking into getting another wireless setup and was wondering if the MS and logitech stuff now a days requires the same? Or can you just swap out batteries and it will stay stored in there?

please state which combo you have and if you have to reconnect everything when you change batteries.

i have used a logitech lx501 whose battery was changed after about 4 months. and i cant remember if i reconnected it at that time.

Most keyboard and mouse combos come with a rechargable battery for the mouse. I don't recall having to connect my mouse back to the wireless hub lately. I think I changed the batteries on my keyboard only once this year.

the one i'm getting doesn't really have a charger for the mouse. plus i'm a heavy user on the mouse.
