Those with Toshiba laptops

I just picked up the G15 Qosmio, but i've got a slight problem. First of all, i need to repartition the first drive into two smaller pieces. In order to repartition and reformat though, I would usually just use my Windows Xp disk. The problem is that Toshiba doesn't supply the user with a sole WinXP disk, instead, a Recovery disk. This recovery disk restores the hard drives to their factory spec, which is what I do not want.

So, how would i keep the Windows Media Center XP and manage to partition the hard drive the way i want to?

Hmm, you're going to have to find either a Win98 boot up disk and use fdisk to make your partitions or find a Windows installation CD. Any CD will work. I guess after it partitions and formats the drive you can just stop the installation and attempt to use the recovery CD that came with your laptop.
