Shelters and the like are always in need of funds. Animals cannot help that they were brought into this world, and our treatment of them should be just and fair. Please take a moment today to help support those individuals and groups who try to make the world a better place for our best friends. Whether it be 5 dollars, 10 dollars, or whatever amount -- they need money and they need volunteers. I'm sure there are pet lovers on this board that want to help.

The more money these groups have, the better they can make society aware of the benefits of spaying/neutering. Hopefully this will reduce the amount of unwanted pets, and make the quality of life higher for any pet that gets taken to a shelter.

I adopted both my dogs from the Humane Society, and I couldn't put a monetary value on their lives. To me they are priceless, and I thank the Humane Society for introducing me. I'm not some tree-hugging hippy, but I certainly think our animals are due some compassion. Please keep flames out.

I disagree with some of the policies of my local Humane Society. Instead, I have donated to an animal foster home agency in my town.

That works just as well. Anything to help out.

I got my cat from the local humane society.

Then I moved back to college (took her with me) and she went missing a few months later only to reappear at the humane society there. I sent them a $200 donation after I picked her up.
