Those with modded xbox's (XBMC)

I've found that using the controller is a real pita with XBMC. Thinking about purchasing an xbox dvd remote. Is this what you guys use, or do you use something else?

I use the official xbox dvd remote and it works very well with XBMC.

I bought the controller kit for the IR adapter to plug in the control port. Then I use my universal remote to control things.

I use the controller because I'm too cheap to buy a remote. Also, the XBOX is not my main DVD player and is within an arm's length if I am using it to watch movies.

I wonder if i could just buy one of those cheap dvd remote kits off ebay and just use my Learning remote to learn the commands..... hmmmm

we had a third party remote but the back button was wonky.

we just ended up buying a wireless controller
