I know that with Vista Media Center will basically be an option, I was wondering if you guys knew if the versions that one can get as a beta have the Media Center portion in them or not?

I'd really like to see what they're going to change. I bet it will be pretty much the same plus cable card support.

I have windows Vista or "codename Longhorn" on one of my 6 PCs at home, my father works as a copier tech, (copiers arent any different then a computer) and hes a beta tester for microsoft as well, so he gave me a copy, and from the looks of it, its got a nice GUI interface, but i havent seen anything resembling Media center, so thats probably a no. also, you dont want to get Vista just yet, it only supports Radeon 9550 and up. basically doesnt support any nvidia cards, or anything, also, there are no drivers out for it, if you have a NIC card, your screwed because it wont detect it. and the only drivers it has, is for a linksys router and USB network device, wait till it has been authorized, and they cleared all the problems with beta. my father and i have sent in countless hangups, and hose ups. we have the actual cd and everything ,but it tends to lock up.

Yes, the Vista beta builds have Windows Media Center built in.

Couple of pictures here.

A decent writeup on the latest build can be found here. (4 page writeup)
