I watched up to the part where Ichigo first started to fight the vampire people. Anything beyond that, I have no idea what happened. I would like to get caught up.

What range of anime episodes would be good to watch? Should I read a range of the manga instead?

I saw the thread title and said "Wait...what? How do you wash bleach?"

I had no idea there was a TV show called "Bleach." It's dark under my rock.

I'm pretty sure that's where I stopped watching too. I just lost interest after that, I guess.

the bount/vampire arc is non canon, and part of the whole anime-based-on-manga tradition of the studio coming up with an "original" storyline to animate while the manga-ka is writing new stuff. It's to keep the anime from catching up to the manga storyline. i.e. the naruto searching for sasuke arc where he goes on pointless missions as filler until the shippuden arc.

The stories are usually derivative or repetition of stuff that has happened before in the real storyline. My friends and I refer to them as monkey episodes, as the writing is representative of an infinite number of monkeys hitting away at an infinite number of typewriters for an indefinite amount of time. every so often something good comes out, but 99% of it you could live without seeing. I believe Bleach is back to the canon arcs.

i stop watching the anime (mostly by chance ie: lazy to download and party by choice ie: not interesting anymore) after Ichigo saved Lukia and came back to earth.

I stopped watching around the same time. Stopped Naruto too. These shows will never end.

Bleach was good during the first story line. Then they had to do a filler story with the Bount which surprisingly wasn't that bad. I actually enjoyed it some.

After that, they got back to the 2nd main story line which which was really good, then fillers....and this time, the fillers sucked.

They are finally back to finish up the 2nd main story line (which will be many many amazing episodes).

Stop watching don't bother. It gets crappy. What happened to my well paced high school humor with damn good art? Now its just generic shounen.

Episode 190 is where it gets back on track. It's mostly a recap for the first episode and part of the second, but it sure beats the fillers.

Yeah, it's just about finished with filler, for now, with the whole stupid princess story being done.
