i personally dont have dual monitors, but a friend ran into a problem i remember running into when i ran dual monitors long ago. i dont remember what i did to fix it...

heres the problem. two monitors are ran using "extend desktop" option

when watching a movie on secondary desktop using windows media player in full screen mode, doing anything on primary desktop (even clicking on the desktop) will cause windows media player to exit full screen mode on secondary monitor

i forgot the fix. maybe someone can refresh my memory? he's using an ati x850xtpe btw

thanks

I use secondary monitor for videos and stuff all the time and using the primary monitor never causes issues.
I don't use WMP myself, but just testing it there wasn't an issue, and BS Player, VLC and Compro DTV (my TV cards software) all work on the secondary monitor without issue in Dualview mode (nVidia 7800GT).
If you extend the taskbar across both monitors you may run into some issues though.

@chinkgai, i'd like to ask u'r permission to ask about my problem on this thread of yours, cause my problem are closely related, but if you mind with it, i'll create another thread.. just let me know.., thx.

@lonyo, did you ever try using one monitor and an analog TV ? i have an old geforce 2 mx with only one dsub and video out. The problem is when playing video in full screen mode, the position of the video is spanned between tv and monitor with black bars on left and right (i.e the video is split between tv and video), and dualview option does not exist on nview wizard, only clone and span. Did you ever try this and confirmed that dual view doesn't work with analog tv (using s-video) and dsub output ?

thx

regards,
gryfon.
