Does anyone have any experience with the ECS laptops . I like the price point buy wonder about the quality .
 
Are you talking about the i-Buddy?

These aren't like most laptops in that the battery is external. They don't sound very handy because you'll have an extra external battery to haul around.
 
I got one for my wife in the Army. She likes it, and hasn't had any problems. Speaker quality is total crap, but the display is nice. You don't miss not having a battery if you're going to use it as a desktop replacement. I really liked that it used standard components and was very easy to put together, and the price was just right for her.
