For quite some time now there have been reports of 3mb connections for those using broadband through Time Warner and I have been waiting quite some time now for it. Well, once, about 2 weeks ago, I tested at dslreports.com to find that my upload rate was like 470kbps/sec so I re-tested and found it came back to 386 or so.

Well, I've been testing it every few days and today I realized that when I tested it, it got around 450kbps/sec for upload. I tested again and like the time before found it went back down to 386.

Now, I'm pretty sure its coming soon and right now they may still be doing testing with the caps on speeds and haven't begun using it.

competition is great :) people (by people i mean normal users) are starting to crave that upload speed. And if one company offers double or triple the upload for the same fee as another without, they are going to switch :)

Im hoping verizon does something similar soon.

Oh indeed. I thought TimeWarner == RoadRunner == Comcast ? Or at least that's how it was around here

Where we live Comcast and Time Warner have seperate areas defined a few years back, so most of us here have no real choice in terms of what cable provider to use.

I think Road Runner is available through either, but a majority is with Time Warner
