Those 'how is my driving' stickers on commercial trucks - completely worthless?

Someone brought this up in the 'boxspring thread' which reminds me of a couple months ago when this idiot truck driver almost changed lanes into my GF's toyota camry. I saw this idiot do the same thing to another car up ahead as well so i was thinking either he was drunk or too tired to drive. I then got up behind him and had my GF call the number on the back of the truck. She gave him the number (not license plate number) that was on the 'how is my driving sticker' and the dude had no idea wtf we were talking about. Is this normal?

my guess is the company that took the phone calls went out of business.

Gee my company has stickers like that on their fleet of company cars.. But unfortunately, if you call ours, we here about it.

Usually, they're legitimate. If he's being unsafe, depending on how bad he is, I'd call the cops. I saw a semi barreling down the highway once doing 100 or something close to it and had to call it in. I was cruising at 70 and if a semi can pass me that quickly, something is probably wrong.

although there are plenty of bad semi drivers out there, others on the road sure don't try to make it any easier on them.

That whole "blind-spot" diagram on their tailgate is something many people could use a review on.

Call the actual company of the truck itself. My wife did that for someone who was swerving and such and they said that every complaint, they have to ground the driver until they can talk to him and see what's going on.

If you really think they are drunk or something, call the cops, not the stupid 800 number.

I think they're a great way to keep drivers in line, but I have a problem with the ones that have truck numbers like MDX67345D. Just too long and complicated. If I'm driving around someone who's bad enough to warrant a phone call I shouldn't have to spend that much time reciting the ID number to whoever is taking the call. I'm trying to watch the road while I drive and get away from the idiot

I saw one of those trucks one time but the tag said like "How's my driving? Call 1-800-EAT-SH*T"
