Banks are not healthy that’s the concern and yes Republicans and *I believe* Trump weakened the Dodd-Frank banking regulations which once again allowed banks to make risky investments and posturing.

I would add to what FM said with capital being uber-concentrated amongst the 1% and the rest of us being dragged along with whatever skittish fancies come their way. A regional bank failed?? SELL OFF!!!—wait banks are healthy? BUY BUY BUY!!—oh noes Credit Suisse? SELL OFF!!!

Huge pools of investor money are controlled by too few strings and it seems like any one rotten egg can cascade and bring the whole system down with it.

I haven't watched CNN for more than 5 min at a stretch since Desert Storm, and it seemed from what I heard and read about the outlet that it had drifted further into left field over the few decades. I'm a bit surprised to hear that it's now starting to lean the other direction.

Likely wanting to widen their viewership for more revenue.

I'll watch TYT on select topics at times, but I get all of my news in text format from AP and/or Reuters....or Al Jazeera on rare occasion. I try to form my own opinions and thoughts on topics instead of having them fed to me by others (even if I agree with them.)

Not conservative memes. What they are doing is peddling alarmism. They always do it. Every food is going to kill you, every economy is on the brink of collapse, COVID will eat your face. Last year when the feds started raising interest rates, they had seperate stories devoted to every last economist who was predicting it would cause a recession. Doesn't matter to CNN that prediction of economic collapse may actually cause if not hasten an actual collapse, by curtailing consumer spending, among other things. CNN doesn't care about anything but $$.

Every major media outlet does it, but CNN is the worst of them.

And I will add, regarding the recent jobs report, that it isn't bad at all. CNN: "It's the lowest job growth number since whatever month we arbitrarily chose to start measuring." Nevermind that some month always has to be the lowest, no matter how good the economy is doing. But CNN is pitching this as a bad economic report even though other outlets aren't really doing that.
