im trying to install it onto my readyhosting.com domain.

i already created the odbc and i named it "forums" i put that into the forum info and all that good stuff.

now i have two directories.

html and database

html is basically for all the /index.htm stuff and images.

i tried uploaded all the fusetalk files onto the "database" folder, but it doesnt work. i guess permissions are not set.

so i uploaded all the files again into the "html" folder in a folder called "forums"

it isnt working.

i need help!

well the database folder is for the database only. everything should go into a directory in the html folder. what type of database are you using? for MS Access you would put the forum.mdb file in the database directory. then you will need to have your host setup a DSN for the database(you may be able to do it yourself if their hosting controller supports it). once the DSN is setup you will have to edit the \include\ini\customds.cfm, \include\ini\datasource.cfm, and \admin\include\ini\datasource.cfm and specify whatever your host called the DSN. If the DSN is called "FTFORUMS" then you will need to change "** YOUR DATASOURCE HERE **" to "FTFORUMS". Hope that helps.......

EDIT: You should use the E-Zone members forum as there are a lot more people there who can help if you need it. AFAIK i am the member at AT that has a Fusetalk forum. :) BTW..... check it out.... in my sig. :)
