Ok, so because Democrats have more 527's that play by the rules, that makes it ok that a Republican one shouldn't have to?

527 legitimacy isn't a issue, just misuse of one.

I think it demonstrates the breadth and depth of Americans who recognize the damage Bush has done to our country. While there are always "ringers" -- front groups for the political machines -- many are smaller, grass-roots-type groups who've found a way to speak out. The trick will be to control the ringers without supressing the free speech of the masses.

That is exactly right!
Wonder why McCain was the first Republican to come out against SBVFT? It was cause through all the ...he's tied to them, and they represent him and they are working on behalf of them.... it all comes down to the law he pushed and fought, tooth and nail for.

:)

Could it be he's a former-POW and war hero himself? Plus, of course, he's going to go after dirty 527's. That's what he SHOULD do and he did. I applaud him for that.

I'd have to agree with you there. SBVFT got more out of a 100 grand than the dems did with 30 million!

Kerry campaign hires moveon.org official for online campaign work

If the Florida mess is a violation, this has to be as well.

For what its worth, I dont think either of them warrant anything more than a passing glance, but that is just me.

(for those with short attention spans, you have to sift through the first 160 million or so to hit the first "anti-kerry" one...)

Thanks for the links:)

I think this information clearly shows "campaign finance reform" is a total joke.

Did you possibly think for a moment it wasn't???

Exley also worked during the Democratic presidential primary for Howard Dean, helping Dean set up his web-based organization.

Will he work for both at the same time? No, he is just good at a particular thing, so Kerry is hiring him.

Both miserable failures... And Red Dawn STILL can't get past why most people didn't want him as President.

So you guys don't think we need to adopt any reforms of campaign financing? Please.
