hmm.. Bestbuy seems start to feeling the pressure of AT, FW and other online community effects on the following...

probably eating their profit margin.

1. only buying on sale item ?
2. pricematching ?
3. buy extended warranty, broke item intentionally ?

Needless to say, From my own experience, they have the WORST sale and pricematch policy.

I agree with BB 100%, and think this *might* be the start of a very good thing, although I seriously doubt the corporations will go as far as I would like to see them go.

ugh. I had the hardest time buying a tv at bestbuy the other day.

it was a returned/open box 32" television, marked down to $320 from $400. the sales guy got really up in my face about buying a $100 extended waruntee (sp). even offered to take $20 off the television, but didn't seem to get that it was still an extra $80 charge. the guy started sighing heavily and shaking his head, muttering that it didn't make sense for me not to buy it.

Last time I bought something there was when I got a $25 GC after complaining excessively about their policies.

Sadly I know too many people who buy that replacement plan for things that probably will never go bad.
