It is a very sad situation, but doesn't anyone wonder where all of that money went for earthquake relief? It sure doesn't look like it went to rebuild the country or its infrastructure. Not to mention the 35-40% of their national budget made up of donations from other countries... They have received billions of dollars in foreign aid and they have nothing to show for it except the huge tent cities that were demolished in the earthquake.
It is very difficult to help people who don't want to help themselves. The war lords and corrupt government officials have been there for decades and nothing has changed....Based on these riots, the UN should just leave...wonder what the haitians would say then???
Besides, if they cared enough to fix their own country, the UN wouldn't be there in the first place...
